About the role:

We are looking for an energetic and experienced Minor Contracts Manager to join our Wellington Service Branch based in Petone.

The Minor Contracts Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of small to medium HVAC&R projects, including installations, upgrades, and equipment replacements. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to company and client standards, while maintaining strong customer relationships and protecting project margins. The position bridges technical field execution and project coordination, requiring both hands-on industry knowledge and sound commercial awareness.

We are seeking people who possess the below experience and competencies:

• Trade-qualified in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent experience)

• Proven experience in HVAC&R service, installation, or project coordination

• Strong understanding of refrigeration systems (including commercial and light industrial applications)

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

• Sound financial awareness, including job costing and margin control

• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills

• Effective communication and stakeholder management

• Builds and maintains strong client relationships

• Takes responsibility for project outcomes

• Ensures accuracy in scope, cost, and delivery

• Effectively manages multiple jobs simultaneously

• Coordinates and supports technicians to achieve project goals

• Responds effectively to changing site conditions and priorities
